This month, we are celebrating Pride at PTE. We are dedicated to the provision of a safe, friendly and supportive working environment for everyone who works here, and LGBT+ allyship is part of our studio culture.
We recognise that there is work to be done within the industry of architecture to tackle the overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage some people experience simply for being who they are. We hope that by fostering a supportive community for LGBT+ colleagues in our studio and engaging collaboratively with LGBT+ clients and consultants, we can discover the potential of architecture to create inclusive places and communities more broadly.
PTE is also pleased to announce that we have signed up as Silver sponsors of Architecture LGBT+, a not for profit grassroots organisation that provides a safe, inclusive and prejudice free environment for LGBT+ architects, and we look forward to working with them in the future. In the meantime, look out for our next newsletter Q&A with some of our staff who are involved with Architecture LGBT+.
