Pollard Thomas Edwards and Alison Brooks Architects are supporting developer Hill to create a new sustainable neighbourhood within Oxford’s largest new residential development. A garden suburb for the 21st century, it integrates houses and apartments with local shops and services and offers urban living in harmony with the natural surroundings.
PTE is providing a full service from concept to completion.
We are delighted that Barton Park has been selected to be part of NHS England’s national Healthy New Towns programme. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners to create a new town and suburb respectively that is focused on enabling residents to live healthy, independent lifestyles with access to modern technology-enabled primary care.”

Thoughtful urban design that encourages and enables wellbeing is essential to building great neighbourhoods. Our ambition for Barton Park is to exemplify this approach, promoting healthy and active lifestyles. We are very pleased Barton Park has received funding to support its growth as an NHS Healthy New Town demonstrator site. This funding will not only support a research project but will allow for a dedicated resource to work closely with Grosvenor, the NHS and Oxford City Council to develop a strategy that will strengthen links between the existing and new Barton communities, to ensure the benefits of the Healthy New Towns scheme are shared by all.”
