Justin Laskin appointed to Hackney’s Design Review Panel
Pollard Thomas Edwards is delighted to announce that Managing Partner Justin Laskin has been appointed to the Hackney Design Review Panel. Justin will bring his extensive experience in delivering high-quality, mixed-use, and socially driven housing projects across London to help shape the future development of the borough he calls home.
The appointment comes at a crucial time as Hackney continues to manage significant regeneration and housing delivery programmes. Justin’s role will involve providing expert, constructive critique on major planning applications, ensuring that proposed schemes meet the borough’s exceptionally high standards for design, sustainability, and community benefit.
Justin’s design review expertise - honed as a member of the Essex Quality Review Panel and as chair of PTE’s weekly internal review panel - ensures his advice is always balanced and constructive. Justin’s goal is to use this considerable local knowledge and experience of design critique to guide Hackney’s future projects to be even better than the remarkably high-quality already being delivered. Commenting on his new role, Justin said:
‘Hackney is my family’s home. I want Hackney to succeed because our community - my son, his school friends - they are the future of our borough. We want them to grow up in Hackney and thrive in Hackney. To do that, we need to provide more homes, high-quality schools, and better public spaces. I’m looking forward to using my local knowledge and years of design critique experience to help guide Hackney's future.’
