Barnsbury Estate has been shortlisted for the Best Social Housing Retrofit Programme award at The Retrofit Academy CIC Awards 2024.

Barnsbury Estate is a masterplan that will transform an entire housing estate near Kings Cross. The proposals for more than 1,000 homes include the deep retrofit of existing, ‘30s-built homes of Old Barnsbury, and the redevelopment of post-war buildings at New Barnsbury.

We have been working closely with residents to develop the retrofit proposals that will transform 275 existing homes, improving their energy performance and reducing bills.

The winners will be announced at the ceremony on the 5th March at 6pm on the National Retrofit Conference stage at Futurebuild.
