The Build to Rent (BTR) sector - residential buildings constructed for the rental market - has experienced substantial growth in the UK in the past decade, with roughly half of all local authorities hosting BTR schemes.

BTR buildings are usually managed by a single company and provide shared facilities for residents to help shape neighbourly communities and offer longer tenancy agreements – typically three or more years.
