Seven Sisters Regeneration
2004 - current
This development will transform the area immediately above Seven Sisters Underground station in north London: a major transport hub with a footfall of 10 million passers-by every year.
The proposals are for 196 new homes in five- to eight-storey buildings over ground-floor retail space, with restaurants above and a raised terrace and roof garden for residents. A row of family duplexes complete the block on the lower scale rear street.
The scheme will also incorporate a new public square around the entrances to the Underground station. It will take the form of an elegant and uncluttered space, which facilitates movement, invites people to linger and discourages anti-social behaviour: a popular gateway to Tottenham.
