PTE designed the winning proposal to redevelop the Havelock Estate in 2012. This mixed-tenure regeneration scheme will create over 900 new homes, including a high proportion of family houses and extra care apartments for third age living. 53% of the new neighbourhood will consist of affordable homes.
A key element of PTE’s masterplan is a major new green park which will run north-south through the heart of the site connecting it with the canal, where a high-value development of apartments, townhouses and community facilities will overlook the water.
The emphasis will be on traditional streets and houses and the existing street pattern will be retained to ensure a sense of continuity between old and new.
All homes will comply with the requirements of the London Design Guide and achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 4.
